YOUNG-OCK KIM  EYE I (brooch)
5H x 5¨öW x 3D inches  copper, brass, lens, steel

"In my work, I try to express the change of my interest through eyes
as a medium: how the center of my life changed from myself to my children
and to my family. The special reason I used a lens was to show distorted
images from different angles to express the changes in myself."

MYUNG JIN KO  JOURNEY OF THE WIND (brooch)
1¨ùH x 3¨ýW x ¨üD inches  sterling silver, copper

"I mostly work with jewelry. My pieces not only can be worn but also
can be displayed as decorative objects when they are not being worn.
I find subject matter through my daily activities or experiences and
express it in organic shapes."

SEUNG GEUN KO  SAEKDONG JEOKORI (brooches)
2¨ýH x 4W x ¨öD; 1¨ûH x 3¨ûW x ¨öD; 2¨ýH x 2¨úW x ¨öD inches  silver, amethyst

"This work is set with a cut amethyst, representing in an up-dated
fashion mode the image of the collar line and sleeves of a Korean woman's
traditional costume."

HYE WON LEE  REFLECTION (container)
7H x 5W x ¨öD inches  pewter

"Through my metal work, I try to express the beauty of nature. The relationship
between man and nature has been a source of inspiration to me. As a human
being, I find the beauty and order of nature everywhere and I try to recreate these
in my work. Self expression and the continual fascination I find in nature assist me
in developing my style."

HYUNG KYU LEE  CO-OWNERSHIP (brooch)
1 5/16H x 2¨þW x 2D inches  sterling silver

"My works of small sculptured objects and jewelry explore the unseen
versus the seen--negative and positive space through the use of sound and form.
I seek balance, coexistence, and consideration within the work, which becomes
a metaphor for balance within life."

MYUNG-JOO LEE  CONCEPT IV (brooch)
2H x 1¨öW x ¨öD inches  silver, gold nugget, wood

"I love to travel. The found objects which I have collected while traveling
contain stories of the past. In combining these valueless objects and precious
metal, I am writing new stories. And these become treasures of their own."

SANG HAK LEE  HUMAN LIFE (object)
10H x 6W x 4¨öD inches  steel

"I used blacksmiting techniques to explore the theme 'human life'. Various periods
between birth and death are expressed with different thicknesses of steel. The center
part shows the variety of life, and the top part represents uncompleted dreams."
