On my way home
after school, I see many students wearing school uniforms. I sometimes
think back to with my school days. I wore a uniform from middle school
to high school. Once many students did not wear the same clothes, but after
a few years they began to wear them again in most schools. Why did they
start wearing school uniforms again? I think students can act more responsibly
if they wear a school uniform. But though some students enter the same
school, their uniforms look different from one another. I'd like to write
about the reasons they are wearing different uniforms.
Firstly, students
can study harder if they wear school uniforms according to the rules. These
clothes were produced to be suitable for the body and behavior of students.
They are very convenient and efficient. We can sometimes see a school uniform
which we can't recognize as a school uniform on the street. A few months
ago, I saw a boy student. When I saw him at first, I didn't know what he
was wearing. When I looked closer, I saw that he was wearing an altered
school uniform. I laughed because his pants looked like he was wearing
stockings. Many students change their school uniforms according to their
will. In my opinion, however, they don't express their individuality; they
only imitate the pictures of adults. These clothes look pretty, but they
are not convenient. These things don't function as school uniforms which
can help students study effectively.
Secondly, if
students modify their school uniforms, they do not look like students.
Their school uniforms imitate the clothes of adults, and also they try
to imitate other accessories of adults--rings, hairpins, etc. They imitate
only the images of adults uniform from head to toe. They wear school uniforms
with high-heeled shoes and strange bags like adults. We can see many kinds
of school uniforms--mini skirts, uniforms that cling to the body, etc.
Finally, students
can't feel a common consciousness if they wear altered uniforms. A school
uniform reminds students that they are students and that they are part
of a group. If students wear a school uniform, they can't feel the difference
between rich and poor. At that time, they are all students who go to school
to learn knowledge. But if they alter their uniforms, this merit will disappear.
Though they wear a school uniform, they can't feel common consciousness
because their uniforms differ from one another. They can have preconceived
ideas about other students because of their clothes, so they can't make
friends with other people easily.
It is important
to wear a unchanged school uniform. When uniform don't fit well, student
can repair their clothes a little. But I think it is not necessary for
students to make their uniforms look like the clothes of adults. If a girl's
skirt is very short and tight, for example, it is not very convenient.
It is hard for students to concentrate on studying. I heard from my friend
who did not wear a uniform when she was a student that she always was worried
about what clothes to wear on the next morning. When students wearing uniforms
try to drink and smoke, adults can forbid their behavior of out of school.
Students can learn from all adults. All students must remember they are
students who are studying.
