I have been in school since 1992, about seven years including my time in the army, and I will finally graduate next year. Female students who started at the same time have graduated already. Now, there are only male students. In the autumn, most seniors suffer much agony about what they will do after graduation: finding a job, marriage, insecurity about the future, and so on.
        Above all, agony about finding a job is the greatest, because these days we are having a very hard time in our country. Now our country's economy is in a difficult situation. Moreover, the chances of getting a job are smaller for women than men. Most companies are cutting back due to worse business conditions regardless of their scale, and many workers are being fired. So, every company is reducing its personnel and doesn't need to hire new employees. The bad economic situation is harder this year because of the Presidential election. Every politician is just interested in winning the election, so they are indifferent to the economy.
        The second agony for people who will graduate soon is marriage, which is a very important thing in life. The time is coming when we have to marry. When we graduate, many of us will be over 25 years old. That is a very late time to start searching for a fiancee. After graduation, there will be many things that we have to do in our jobs, so we won't have enough time to look for a spouse and we may miss the proper age to marry. Then, we will fail to meet the ideal spouse that we dreamed of when we were young. Other people give up searching for their spouses. So, a person who has a fiancee after graduation is happier than other people.
        Insecurity about the future causes everybody to worry about whether he will get a job or not, or find a spouse or not, because we don't have experience with the society outside of the school. I think we should have experience in various fields for our future. Because we have only heard about society, we don't know much about it. We need to learn about various fields. For instance, we can gain experience through part-time jobs. This is very important, because we can acquire a lot of experience with little effort. Also we have to study other fields in addition to our major: computers, a second foreign language, the economy, culture, and so on. It is especially important to study about computers these days. It's not too late for us, so we should always be ready to get new information and knowledge about society.
        Although the autumn is a beautiful season, it can't make us seniors happy. I think that we have no choice but to study and make an effort to prepare for our life after graduation. University graduates have been experiencing these agonies for a long time, but they have resolved their problems very well by themselves. We can make it as they did. Let's just follow their examples and advice.
